1. Seal all leaks around the windows, doors, and electrical outlets.

By installing a programmable thermostat you will lower your utility bills while heating and cooling your home more efficiently.

3. Clean the chimney and get the vents checked.
The chimney needs to be cleaned out before the winter season of all combustible materials that have built up along their walls. Make sure a chimney cap is present or
installed, this is an important part of your chimney keeping all unwanted elements from entering your fireplace.

4. Remove window ac units for the winter.
This means many tiny cracks for cold air to get into your home. If it can’t be taken out of the window for storage be sure to seal it up with caulking, tape, or an airtight insulated jacket.
